This month I had the pleasure of receiving the first issue of Magnify, a new magazine founded by Ruth Yimika Awogbade who is an old school friend of mine. Inspired by faith, feminism and fashion, my three favourite words, I was so impressed with the publication that I wanted to hear further from the inspiring editor and share her message to my followers.

What does faith, fashion and feminism mean to you?

I think the three words are all different but to me that is what represents MAGNIFY. I have a very strong personal faith which has shaped my perspective and foundation in life. I believe in the beauty and potential of women and hope MAGNIFY empowers women to know they've been created with amazing gifts and talents to impact in a positive way the world around them. The fashion element, I think comes through in our visuals - as a creative I love the craftsmanship and collaborative element of shoots.

It very inspiring to see you empower 'girl power' through your career, what message do you hope to spread to the women reading MAGNIFY?

I hope that MAGNIFY will open up a dynamic conversation about how faith can be relevant in today's world for us as women. I hope MAGNIFY will give women the chance to maybe think about some of the issues we deal with under the surface and be inspired by women who though imperfect having recognised their unique gifts and are using that in a positive way to make the world a better place whatever sphere they're operating in

Who would you love to interview in the future and why?

I'd love to interview Bono. I think he's fascinating and he's always very honest and real in interviews so I think he'd be great.

What is the most satisfying part of your role?

I love that everyday is different. I also love getting to meet and work with so many different people, with different life experiences who I can learn from everyday. And also the fact that together we get to collaborate and create something that hasn't existed in this form before.

You've managed to feature some very influential people in the fashion industry in your first issue, how does it feel having such big names supporting your work?

It's truly humbling and a real honour. It's also been so exciting meeting so many people who have a strong faith, who are really talented but more than that are people of integrity and humility.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

MAGNIFY is at the core of what I'm passionate and love to do, so still heavily involved with that and see it grow internationally.
Also healthy, happy and hopefully married with a child.
